So this one took me about an hour to make. I think because I’ve been in halloween making mode and this is my 5th halloween project, my mind just went to work. This project had a lot of text, but I made due. The photo47 technique I used in this one was adding a hue/saturation adjustment layer over the lower level of images so that they appear to have the same color effect. Haunt The Runway Flyer for Ph.d. Entertainment, Sir Ushindi Spears Entertainment and 06 Entertainment

Yea, so they asked me to create a flyer for their rip the runway halloween party. I used a couple of different effects… of the new ones a smoke brush on both sides and the more apparent webs strewn from the lettering. I also went borderless after the original draft using a spider brush behind the date information and adding a gradient to the footer. Hopefully the guys at http://www.phdentertainment.com like this as much as they like the website I built them. http://www.photo47.com

So we launched the new site. This version uses a variety of different technologies to convey a new look and feel for Photo47.com. On the landing page, I used a flash to create a smoke like effect puffing from the everburning creative fires at Photo47.com. As one enters the corporate section, you will find a flash banner based on a tv screen, fuzzy reception and all. The lower section of the page uses a jquery based image viewer. The Urban section features a flash based slidesho as as a flash/javascript XML based audio player on the landing page. The gallery can be viewed as flash based or HTML based and has the capabilities of using a custm soundtrack. In any event, check out the new site and let me know what you all think. So we were requested for another event flyer for a party at New York Pizza. Back in the day, party flyers were the bread and butter for photo 47. Then again, that was before we did web design. We still find joy in doing what got us started. For this design, we decided to use a layering technique that would allow use to layer a skinnier design on top of a wider more abstract background. The results are here. Photoshoppers beware. We have a few special techniques that we would like to try, reserved for some lucky clients in the year 2009. Graphic design is one of our passions that never gets old.

StompClassic.com – Home of the Mahogany Concepts Stomp Classic Step Show

Thus far, Photo 47 has been responsible for the web development efforts for Mahogany Concepts LLC. Besides the logo, Photo47.com has been the go to design firm for graphics and web presence. Recently they came to use for an eflyer design for their upcoming stomp classic step show. After seeing the eflyer design for the Alpha Psi chapter of Iota Phi Theta’s Juicy Campus party we were challenged with producing the same quality of work for the step show which would intrigue viewers and garner the attention of step teams nationwide. In order to do this, we suggested that we encase e-flyer inside of a website which would allow full access to all offerings of the step show and increase the marketability of the entire step show. With this suggestion, www.stompclassic.com was born. We try to include something new in each design that we make as a way of further challenge ourselves at Photo47 Design Firm. For this example, we decided to change our side panel navigation to vertical roll over links. In addition we added live step show footage to the eflyer itself in or order to give a more pleasing aesthetic feel. Inaugural Brunch Design

So we were acquired once again by the Alpha Psi chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated to develop publicity for their upcoming Inaugural Brunch to celebrate the inauguration of the first Black President… Mr. Barack Obama. The design for this required a combination of photoshop, flash and dreamweaver as the we were requested to develop an eflyer that combined the content of bot of the projects. The end results was much to our liking. There were two versions of the final flyer completed and an e flyer. Here are the results.

Juicy Campus – Do or Die Iotas Event Flyer

So the Do or Die Alpha Psi chapter of Iota Phi Theta hired Photo 47 design to create their new website http://www.doordieiotas.com The website which required a slew of emerging technologies to create has been a great success. It is not a surprise that Photo47 was asked to design the upcoming flyer for their Juicy Campus Event. The aim of the event is to capitalize off of the success of http://www.juicycampus.com a website that has been featured by CNN, MSNBC, and ABC news. The contraversial website allows each users to post anonymous comments about events coming up on their campus. One of the interesting articles discussed in the area of Oklahoma would be the video of the University of Oklahoma sorority girl who tried to make it snow with a fire extinguisher. If you haven’t seen the video, youtube…. hilarious. As for the flyer design…
